Some briefs clips of footage from the annual ceremony at Valençay, France which commemorates the agents of Special Operations Executive (SOE) who worked under-cover in France during WW2.
This event records the bravery and sacrifice of men and women of Britain and France who worked together during World War II for the eventual liberation of France in 1944. Many of them died following torture or harrowing periods of incarceration in concentration camps.
In 2013, I filmed the ceremony and produced a short video clip to help publicise the event around the world to the families of those who served. Having seen that film, the BBC subsequently attended the event the following year and recorded a piece for the 70th commemoration of D-Day in 2014.
